A little mother

This morning Leah was eating breakfast and Erin was sitting in her high chair. I had been feeding Erin cereal and fruit, but she started blowing raspberries with the food so I stopped. There was only a few bites left in the bowl. I put Cheerios on Erin's tray for her to play with. (She can pick them up now! But she doesn't put them in her mouth yet.) I ran upstairs to scoop kitty litter. When I came back Leah was feeding Erin a Cheerio. I said "Aww, what a good big sister, feeding Erin." Leah said " Yeah, I feeded her it all." I looked at the bowl and it was EMPTY! Leah had given Erin the last few bites of food!!! Leah said "She didn't spit it out!" She was so excited to feed Erin. It was adorable!

So adorable. Isn't it great when your older child takes such an interest in your younger child. I rememeber when my oldest fed my youngest for the first time. But maybe I remember it because the food was actually a wad of green play-doh.
