For those of you who haven't heard, Mike is being hired on permanently by Bank of America. This means 3 things to us: a raise, vacation days for Mike, and better health insurance for less money. We are very excited about it. But because of this, my next dr appt has been rescheduled for June 1st when our new insurance kicks in. SOOOOO needless to say another good 5 weeks until my next ultrasound.
I may not have time to do the baby's room before Hive. I take that back, I will be done with school June 8th, so I will just get to work right away and bust it out. I guess I should have 2 bedding sets picked out and the paint colors ready to purchase at Lowe's. I really like the Sophie bedding at Pottery Barn Kids for a girl. I love how there are many patterns mixed together. I think I will only buy the bumper, bed skirt, and some window treatments. I can buy other cheaper sheets, especially since they will be pooped and thrown up on. What do you guys think? What colors/patterns would you use for the walls? I just realized I haven't posted pics of Leah's room since it was painted! I will get on that today.

Congratulations to Mike & to your whole family! That's great news!!
That Sophie bedding is very sweet! I love sets that combine stripes and dots like that. If any cool paint ideas come to me, I'll let you know.
Looking forward to seeing the pics of Leah's room!
Congratulations! I'm so excited for you guys! I'm sure it will save you from all of those big checks you were writing last month for Dr.'s :-)
I love that bedding. You are so creative I'm sure that you will come up with a great idea for the walls.
Congratulations on the job!!! I bet you'll all be breathing easier (and cheaper!) now; huh? :)
I love Pottery Barn's bedding... and the one you picked is great! Personally, what I would do, is buy one of the crib sheets to put on the bed when you want to show off the nursery, but then do like you said and buy other cheaper solid colored ones for everyday use. That's just me though. :) Also... let's see... the walls. I would pick out a light shade of one of the colors in the bedding (either one of the light ones already on the bedding or a lighter shade of one of the bright colors on the bedding), and maybe either do all of the walls in that color or do 3 of the walls in the light color and the 4th wall (probably the focus wall or the wall that the crib is on) in a more bold color (I'd probably choose the brighter shade of the same color). :) Then I'd use the other colors in the bedding as all of your accent colors for the furniture and accessories. Those are my 2 cents, but I'm sure that you guys will come up with something really cool no matter what you end up doing. :)
Thanks for allowing me to decorate a girly nursery in my head! :) Haha!
Ooohh... one more thought... maybe do a single thin-ish stripe (mimicing the stripe on the bumper... maybe about 4 inched in height) around the wall in the brighter color about 3/4 of the way up the wall with the lighter color as the base. :)
I really like the sophie bedding. That is if it's a girl! Wish I didn't have to wait so long to find out what it is though!
Oh and this may be a stupid question...but what is Hive?
